€ 100.00

The Internal combustion engine plays a key role for individual mobility, transportation and energy supply today. For the different applications, a wide variety of specialized concepts has been developed in the last decades. Our institute has the privileged possibility to study both mobile and stationary engines of nearly all sizes and for different gaseous and liquid fuels in research and development projects. These activities also led to the symposium series “Working Process of the Internal Combustion Engine” which started in honor of the 80th birthday of Prof. Anton Pischinger 26 years ago.

Since the beginning of the symposium, the realized progress is remarkable, but the challenge of the foreseeable future legislation regarding pollutants and CO² emissions as well as efficiency in real world driving conditions is tremendous.
Beside continuous improvements, the development of novel conceptual approaches for engines and components and the use of innovative development tools are to be applied.
In 42 contributions the topics of the manifold application of IC engines covering the drivetrains of motorcycles, passenger cars, heavy-duty engines and large engines will be treated. As in previous years, a parallel section focuses on large gas and diesel engines. A trade show will additionally demonstrate and illustrate the state of the art with product information and exhibits.

The symposium will scrutinize relevant questions and describe efficient and trendsetting solutions for the different applications of IC engines, development tools and components. Our intention is to stimulate an intense expert discussion between different engine divisions leading to an interdisciplinary understanding
