The BIWAES series started in 1998. The 8th edition was held in Mumbai,
India, in the year 2012, in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi
Institute for Development Research. Since 1998, the Workshop was
organized in Italy (4 times), Brazil, Austria, Spain, India.
The
present Workshop edition brings together worldwide intellectual skills
and talents with the aim to perform a critical assessment of
environmental security and development of energy technologies suitable
to meet the increasing world energy demand in the next decades, with
special focus on urban systems.
